What to expect when visiting our Church
There are many good churches in Geneva, Ohio and we hope that you are able to find the best one for you and your family. Here at New Life Assembly of God, we pray that God will continue to show His presence in even greater ways in our midst and also in our community. We believe in miracles and God’s supernatural intervention in people’s lives. There is power in the name of Jesus Christ to deliver, heal and restore.
In a world that only believes what their eyes tell them, we are blessed to be part of a church that knows that ‘Nothing is impossible with God!’ Our mission as a church is “Building Faith, Restoring Hope, and Growing in Love”.
If you’re thinking about visiting and don’t know what to expect here, we can help fill you in.
Are you concerned about what to wear? Don’t be!
The dress code here is pretty relaxed. We recommend that you wear what will help you feel comfortable. That can range anywhere from t-shirt and jeans to shirt and tie.
So what does a typical service to look like?
If you are thinking about visiting, it might help you to have a basic understanding of what to expect when you arrive.
On a typical Sunday we have two services. Our 8:30 am service is a smaller group of people and has a more traditional worship style. This service is usually finished right at ten o’clock.
Our 10:30 am service is a more modern feel and may include a full band for the worship and can get out anywhere from 12:00 to 12:30, depending on what God does in the service.
Occasionally, on special Sundays like Easter or other holidays, we combine the two church services for a single service at 9:30 am. Take a look at our online bulletin, which should tell you if this week is a combined 9:30 service or not!
Is there anything for my kids during service?
Yes! On Sunday mornings our nursery will be open and staffed for your infants or toddlers. That way you can enjoy the service and know that your children are being well taken care of in the nursery.
For older children up through the age of 11, we have a children’s church service called Treasure Hunters, which is available every Sunday during the 10:30 am service. On the second Sunday of the month, the children get join the adults in the main sanctuary for a combined worship service, and then afterwards they are dismissed to go to Treasure Hunters during the message.
We are a friendly church near you that wants to get to know you.
After our 10:30 service on Sundays, we would love to meet you. If you have time, please take a minute and come say ‘hi’ to one of our pastors! Pastors Harry, David or Angeline are usually available after service.
Once again, there are many great churches near Geneva, Ohio and we pray that you find the best one for you!
