What to expect when visiting our Church
There are many good churches in Geneva, Ohio and we hope that you are able to find the best one for you and your family. Here at New Life Assembly of God, we pray that God will continue to show His presence in even greater ways in our midst and also in our community. We believe in miracles and God’s supernatural intervention in people’s lives. There is power in the name of Jesus Christ to deliver, heal and restore.
In a world that only believes what their eyes tell them, we are blessed to be part of a church that knows that ‘Nothing is impossible with God!’ Our mission as a church is “Building Faith, Restoring Hope, and Growing in Love”.
If you’re thinking about visiting and don’t know what to expect here, we can help fill you in.
Are you concerned about what to wear? Don’t be!
The dress code here is pretty relaxed. We recommend that you wear what will help you feel comfortable. That can range anywhere from t-shirt and jeans to shirt and tie.
So what does a typical service to look like?
If you are thinking about visiting, it might help you to have a basic understanding of what to expect when you arrive.
On a typical Sunday we have service at 10:00 am, which has a more modern feel and may include a full band for the worship time, followed by a message from one of our pastors. Service can get out anywhere from 11:30 to 12:00, depending on what God does during the service.
Family and fellowship are very important to us as a church. So, occasionally there may be a potluck meal after service or a church picnic in the afternoon. You can always check the latest bulletin to find out. We would love for you to join us for a meal whether you are able to bring anything or not.
Is there anything for my kids during service?
Yes! On Sunday mornings our nursery will be open and staffed for your infants or toddlers. That way you can enjoy the service and know that your children are being well taken care of in the nursery.
For older children up through the age of 11, we have a children’s church service called Treasure Hunters, which is available every Sunday during the service. On the second Sunday of the month, the children get join the adults in the main sanctuary for a combined worship service, and then afterwards they are dismissed to go to Treasure Hunters during the message.
We are a friendly church near you that wants to get to know you.
After our service on Sundays, we would love to meet you. If you have time, please take a minute and come say ‘hi’ to one of our pastors! Pastors David, Angeline, or Harry are usually available after service.
